Always have a kickoff meeting with your project team and agree on the sections you will be measuring. However, it is likely there will be times you can’t collect certain bits of data. In some sections, TRACE will estimate your footprint based on certain assumptions and in others it is better to estimate the data than miss it out completely. The events industry hasn’t historically been geared up to collecting data for carbon footprinting and this is a journey so don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t have the perfect data set straight away!
