All columns and boxes should be completed for the calculations to run.
Toggle areas on and off depending on whether they are relevant to this event to ensure your progress tracker is accurate. The areas listed have been identified by isla as “within scope” for the events industry and so you should aim to measure all areas whenever possible.
TRACE will estimate energy use and waste if you do not have accurate data, however, it should be remembered that the more accurate the inputted data, the more accurate the resulting carbon footprint.
Don’t forget to “complete” your event once all of your final data has been inputted. This will allow you to keep track of all of your open events from the Event Management page, but also freeze your Carbon Footprint calculation to this year’s emissions factors.
If you have toggled on an area, the app won’t let you ‘complete’ the event unless you have entered data for that section.
