In TRACE, we measure the largest impact areas related to events. When considering the impact of AV equipment we can consider the transport of the equipment to and from events and the energy required to run the equipment.
Transport:
The vehicles required for moving equipment can in input in TRACE in the event transport module under the relevant tab.
Energy:
You can calculate this either by using the wattage of the equipment or by utilising small individual plug-in meters.
Both of these can be entered into the energy module in TRACE.
Use the before meter reading as 0 and the after is the total kWh of all of your equipment.
We've also put together some templates for tracking the energy used by your equipment.
Wattage
Watts (W) x Hours Used (h) = Watts per hour
Divide this by 1000 to give you the kilowatts per hour (kWh)
Meters
Simply plug in your energy monitor or meter into the socket and record the reading once the event has ended.
Collate all of your readings offline and then input this value into TRACE.
